The death of George Floyd at the hands of former Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin was the result rather than the initial cause of his death.

The ultimate responsibility of the death of George Floyd is the person who introduced him to illegal drugs, which led to the path of addiction and mixing with the undercurrent of society.

When someone is introduced to illegal drugs, statistically smoking cigarettes leads to marijuana, which then leads to crack cocaine and heroin and pharmaceutical drugs enter the mix.

When someone becomes an addict to illegal and pharmaceutical drugs they mix with the undercurrent of society, that includes the criminal world.

Chronic illegal and pharmaceutical drug intake not only leads to poor health, but spirals in a downward trajectory and it often becomes a one-way-system to an early and untimely demise.

Through this journey of illicit behaviour all roads lead to an interaction with law enforcement.

George Floyd was no different and this is the reason he unfortunately lost his life at the hands of a law enforcement officer, who had dealt with many addicts over his checkered career and lost all sense of a care-of-duty while having George Floyd in [his] custody.

No-one who is unarmed should lose their life by a police officer or any other agent enforcing the law in society.

Policing is the most difficult job on the planet. Police officers and agents of enforcing the law often come into contact with members of the public in unfortunate, distressing and sad situations.

Things can very quickly get out-of-hand and the consequences like in the case of George Floyd can end in tragedy.

There needs to be a constant battle to reduce and ultimately rid the world of illegal drugs, and better responsibility and oversight in the control of administering pharmaceutical medication, so that the misery of addiction and loss of life whether by chronic abuse of illegal drugs and pharmaceutical medication and the situations and interactions with law enforcement.

The end result of the death of George Floyd was a global movement in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe over the treatment of black people by the police and law enforcement agents, the criminal justice system and for better equality across the Western countries.

Derek Chauvin was convicted of the murder and manslaughter of George Floyd and sentenced to 22 1/2 years in MCF Oak Park Heights a maximum federal prison on the 25th June 2021.
